National Day of Love® originated from a vision held by one of our founding members—a day dedicated to uniting people to celebrate love. This special day is observed annually on the third Saturday of March.

Children are naturally creative writers who benefit from opportunities beyond traditional classrooms to explore and develop their unique talents. Writing also serves as a beautiful way to celebrate love by reflecting on moments when we have felt loved. The National Day of Love® Essay Contest invites young writers to engage in self-reflection, embrace creative risks, and be recognized for their efforts.

We celebrate love through writing by partnering with organizations to host the National Day of Love® Essay Contest. We provide the writing prompts, grading criteria, prizes, and guidelines to ensure a successful contest. Students focus their writing on the theme of love, helping them appreciate its importance.

Our community partners support us in encouraging and nurturing stronger writers through this enjoyable and meaningful activity.
